Who we are
Advanced Solar Power Systems helps owners understand and improve existing solar, storage, and backup-power installations. Our website is advancedsolarpowersystems.com.
Privacy questions and requests may be made by telephone at 800-228-8800 or by email at kevin@advancedsolarpowersystems.com.
Information we collect
Phone-call requests
If you request a phone call, we collect the information you submit: your name, telephone number, optional email address, city or ZIP code, selected goal, brief problem description, confirmation preference, consent record, submission date, and request status.
Please do not submit utility or financing account numbers, passwords, payment information, government identifiers, confidential documents, or monitoring credentials through the initial form. The initial form does not accept file uploads.
Accounts and purchases
If you use account or purchasing functions, WordPress and WooCommerce may process account, contact, billing, shipping, order, support, tax, and transaction information. Payment information is handled by the configured payment provider. We do not intentionally copy payment-card details into phone-intake records.
Site operation, cookies, and measurement
Our website, hosting, security, analytics, search, advertising, email, tax, shipping, and commerce services may process IP address, device and browser information, cookies or similar identifiers, page activity, referring pages, approximate location, and diagnostic logs. Depending on the feature used, service providers may include DreamHost, Automattic/Jetpack, WooCommerce, Stripe, PayPal, Mailchimp, Meta, Kliken, FedEx-related services, and WooCommerce tax services.
Cookies may support essential site operation, login and account functions, security, preferences, analytics, advertising, and commerce. Browser settings can block or remove many cookies, but doing so may affect site features.
Comments
Public commenting is not part of our intended customer-intake journey. Historical comment records may contain the submitted name, email address, website, IP address, browser information, comment content, and spam-screening metadata.
How we use information
We use information as reasonably necessary to:
- return requested phone calls and arrange appointments;
- send an email confirmation only when the requester asks for one;
- understand the owner’s stated problem and determine an appropriate next step;
- maintain private service and consent records;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
- administer accounts, orders, payments, tax, shipping, and support when those functions apply; and
- meet legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, safety, and recordkeeping obligations.
The phone-intake form does not automatically subscribe a requester to marketing. Any marketing choice should be presented separately.
How information may be shared
Information may be processed by hosting, website, email-delivery, security, analytics, payment, tax, shipping, and other service providers acting for the site or a transaction. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
We do not intend to give a customer’s assessment information to an independent installer or other project participant until the purpose and appropriate authorization have been established. Once a customer chooses to involve another provider, that provider’s own privacy practices may also apply.
Retention
Phone-intake records are configured for deletion after 180 days. Copies in email, security logs, backups, exports, legal holds, or service-provider systems may follow different schedules. Account, order, payment, tax, shipping, warranty, dispute, and legal records may be retained as reasonably required for those purposes.
Your choices and privacy requests
Depending on applicable law and verified identity, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you, or exercise other available privacy rights. You may contact us by telephone or email using the information above. We may need information to verify the request and may retain information that applicable law permits or requires us to keep.
Where California law applies, California residents may have rights concerning knowledge, access, correction, deletion, portability, limits on certain uses, and opting out of certain sale or sharing. We will not discriminate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right. General information about California privacy rights is available from the California Attorney General.
Browser privacy signals and third-party collection
Some browsers offer Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. The site’s current mix of legacy and third-party components has not been verified to respond uniformly to every signal. Third parties that provide analytics, advertising, embedded content, payment, or other services may collect information about activity over time and across different websites according to their own settings and policies. You may use browser controls, provider opt-out tools, and the contact methods above to communicate a privacy request. We are reviewing these components and will update this policy when our controls change.
Security and sensitive documents
We use administrative and technical measures intended to protect information, but no internet or email system is completely secure. Do not send passwords, account numbers, payment information, monitoring credentials, tax documents, or other sensitive records unless Advanced Solar Power Systems has provided an approved method and instructions.
Children
Our services are intended for property and system owners and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly use the phone-intake form to collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, providers, legal requirements, or practices change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective or review date. Material changes may also be communicated through another appropriate notice.
