You are not expected to become the contractor, warranty administrator, monitoring specialist, and records investigator because the original company disappeared or stopped answering.

The correct path depends on what you own, what agreements remain in force, who controls monitoring, whether the installation was completed and interconnected, and what work needs professional correction.

First separate the relationships

The seller, licensed installer, lender or lease/PPA provider, manufacturers, monitoring administrator, and utility may be different organizations. One company’s disappearance does not prove that every warranty or access path ended—and it does not prove that every protection remains available.

Manufacturer warranty, installer workmanship coverage, a production guarantee, and a maintenance agreement are different. Their status requires the actual documents and confirmation from the responsible organizations.

You do not need to identify everything

Do not open equipment, remove covers, climb onto the roof, or attempt electrical work. You do not need serial numbers or a complete equipment list for the first conversation.
